Right now it is masquerading as the Following or Followers widget. This is really Friend Connect, it just depends on what code Google feeds it. Google said at the TechCrunch50 conference that they would roll out a Blogger Friend Connect release soon and that was August 27th. The new development in Friend Connect is that Google is going to roll out Friend Connect on Blogger first. Right now it is masquerading as the Following or Followers widget.

This is really Friend Connect, it just depends on what code Google feeds it.
